The Deadliest Creatures in Australia

Hey guys!  So sorry about the lack of posts… we’ve literally been chasing down Internet everywhere we go, with little luck.

You can find wireless in most McDonalds or Starbucks curtosy of Telstra for the bargain price of just $5.00 for 10 minutes and 20 cents a minute thereafter. Bleh, totally out of budget. Good thing the U.S. currency is moving in our favor.

We’re snobby and wish to use our own laptops… backpacker grease is not for me unless it’s my own. Haha. Anyway, we might have to get a wireless card from Big Pond and pay by the data transferred.

I got bit by a little ant bugger today. It felt like a peice of glass cutting into me. At first, thought I had something sharp in my pocket, but no it was a fire ant digging into my flesh, multiple times while we were driving. Justin was probably wondering why I was ripping my pants off all the sudden. Once he figured out what was going on, we pulled over, found the crackpot and put him to rest. Thankfully, they’re not a hazard to the living… just painful and annoying.

For those of you that L-O-V-E to talk about all of the deadly creatures in Australia, check out the picture below (taken at the Australia Museum in Sydney). Also, if you have some time to kill (haha) read the reasonable version of the dangerous animials in OZ and the funny, over-the-top rant about why you should never, ever vacation here.

  2. Chelsea,
The blogs you and Justin have are a real treat! And, just in case Justin didn’t pass this on, I’m delighted that you post as many pictures as you do. It’s especially rewarding for me, since so many of them have Justin in them!
Happy travels to you both -
    Trish

  3. Gooday Blokes…

Would really love to hear about the Great Barrier Reef….have you made it that far yet? Hope the two of you are having the time of your lives! Please do post when you can!
